The French site of Percy Jackson offers a critique of the critics (as I did at the beginning of the broadcasts they see link ) And all I can say is that I fully share his opinion ...

The French critics are not kind to the film but the critics are speaking much more enthusiastic. It must be said that the articles are rather poor French arguments by continuing to make comparisons with "Harry Potter" or denouncing the "commercials" pervasive throughout the Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief. Is this really important? No. It is more interesting to read the English critics who offer much more substance and a deeper analysis of the film. These critics point to the upscale entertainment, action and impressive special effects while hoping that The Lightning Thief is the first film in a long saga.

The divide between critics is not uncommon. But criticizing the fact that advertising is pervasive, it is a sign of a certain hypocrisy when you consider that the media live in part through advertising. Where's the harm? Certainly the fact that these criticisms are hiding behind their little finger to avoid having to draw a true analysis of the film by giving the perspective with the success of the literary saga. As you can see, we can also criticize the critics!
